Vincent Valentine paced through the streets of Midgar, ignoring eyeing looks from the crowd around him. It was true, his attire did stand out above the other, but he really didnt care. He walks to the center square and quickly hops up one of the ladders, climbing the middle structure just high enough so he could see the whole of the city.
He sighed, the wind from being at such a height blowing his hair sideways, but his crimson headband prevented it from getting it in his face. He ruffled in his pockets beneath his cloak and brought out a crumpled piece of paper with only one word on it. But as soon as he brought it out he returned it back into his pocket, frowning under the cowl of his cloak.
"Kyuzo..."

People gasped and awed as they watched two people walk by on the sidewalk. The crowded street soon scattered about to make room for the two. One was a smug grinning fat man with black hair and a goatee with a sword strapped to his waist while wearing a very elegant silk kimono. He was a merchant. The richest merchant in town who practically bought it. Everyone was afraid of him, he could almost pretty much do what he wants. The other man was an apathetic and fairly young male with medium-long, blonde hair that covered part of his red eyes so much that his right eye was not visible. He wore a dark-red trench coat that covered most of his body, black boots and a black shirt was also visible despite having such a long coat. Strapped to his back was a sword in it's sheathe of some sort, both ends had the hilt of the katana, so therefore there were two katanas within the sheathe. It appeared this man was a samurai that uses spin swords. As they passed a wall, the young man's face could be seen on a poster with a high bounty, but no one seemed to notice. They walked through the streets, the blonde man following behind the fat man. From how they walked, it was clear that their relationship was master and servant. Suddenly six men with swords appeared from the crowd and formed a circle around the two men. One of the six men who looked to be the leader took a step forward and shouted, "AYAMARO! YOU HAVE EXTORTED THE PEOPLE FOR THE LAST TIME! DIE BY OUR BLADES!" The fat man who seems to be known as Ayamaro bellowed smugly and loudly.
"Kyuzo. Please take care of the trash." The blonde-haired man nodded in agreement, his name obviously being Kyuzo. The six men took a step back, obviously intimidated by the quiet swordsman. "YOU FILTH! You let your dog fight! Coward!" The ambush leader shouted angrily, raising his sword to indicate that they will attack Kyuzo. The blonde haired bodyguard stepped in front of Ayamaro and placed his hands on the hilts of both his blades. "Come." Kyuzo challenged, his face remaining calm and uncaring.
The ambush party didn't think twice as they charged forward yelling to attack Kyuzo. The bodyguard samurai didn't even draw his sword yet, he took one step and he appeared behind the enemy party. His swords were already drawn, his right sword facing backwards and down while his left was upright and pointing in front of Kyuzo. Then, blood poured out all of the six attackers' chest and fell to the ground dead. Kyuzo flicked his wrist so the blood on his sword will come off, then he sheathed it back in. The crowd that formed around the fight stood in awe and disbelief, they didn't even see the man draw his swords.
Ayamaro laughed loudly as he walked in front of Kyuzo. "Very good Kyuzo. I knew it was right to hire such a swordsman." Kyuzo nodded obediently as Ayamaro continued on his walk, his bodyguard following behind. Kyuzo was a rare master of the twin swords technique, only a handful still survived today. Many people thought of him as a monster for joining the corrupted man with such skill, but he did not care what they think. It was his decision, no matter how much he disliked Ayamaro. Kyuzo thought of him to be a coward, the fat man's sword was only a matter of display to show that he'll kill you if make him angry. In reality, Ayamaro was nothing more than a man who risen his way to the top through backstabbing. He was rich enough to protect his own life with such a powerful man to defend him.
Kyuzo looked around his surroundings with his calm red eyes, steam came from various vehicles and buildings. People were bustling about or looking in awe and fear at the blonde-haired man and the fat merchnat. Such a sad state among the people, but yet Kyuzo did not care. It was their problem, not his. The only thing he wishes was something for himself. Even if he had to protect such a weak man. His swords will carve the path to which he needs. Even if it means that he has to die in the process.

Vincent stood straight, looking over at one sector of the city, then the other. The bounty didn't give much a discription, so it would be hard to tell or even how to find the man. He turned around, the ragged ends of his crimson cloak blowing off to the side in unsion. His golden gauntlets clinked together as his stance changed and he was now folding his arms over his rough chest.
Then he saw it, a disturbance in the northern sector of the city, and Vincent hopped down from the high rafters of the middle structure, until he had a perfect view of what was going on. He examined the fat man and the blond behind him, but did nothing, since he had no idea who they were yet. At least, he did nothing until he saw what the man did. He single-handedly brought down six guards with both of his swords.
Vincent raised his eyebrows, his darkred eyes scanning the man with obvious interest. He took out the scrap of paper again and examined the blurred picture on the front of it. He had obviously taken it from off the sides of the streets. He looked up several times to compare them.. and it was no doubt about it. It was the man. He wasn't surprised, being able to have those kinds of skills.. no wonder he had such a high bounty on his head. He quickly jumped down to the ground again, pushing past other people again until he appraoched a building and scailed the wall, walking high among the rooftops as he kept an eye on the man from above.
He had already withdrawn his shotgun, Cerberus, but now it had a few modifications. On each barrel, in which there were a total of three, was strapped a blade at the end of it, making it sort of like a bayonet for close-range combat. One also would notice a long, curved rapier dangling at Vincent's side, the scabbard an onyx hue with silver metal platings on the end of it, like the rest of his inner attire, so it hid well. For now, Vincent merely followed Kyuzo.

Kyuzo remained silent from then on, following his employer Ayamaro with his business. However, his instincts told him that someone was following them. He scanned the crowd around him but couldn't find the perpetrator, Kyuzo would have to be careful. He had a feeling that whoever was following him wasn't after Ayamaro. After all, Kyuzo had a high bounty for his head.
Ayamaro turned right, his intention to enter a building. His fat body slowly making his way to the entrance. Though his blonde hair covered most of his red eyes, Kyuzo observed his employer carefully as well as being in tune with his surroundings. The red-suit bodyguard looked behind him, watching people pass by. He returned his apathetic gaze to Ayamaro who ordered him to hurry up. Kyuzo obeyed and went inside, his sword clacked against his back as he went up the short steps.
Ayamaro scanned the building, it was a cafe where many people gathered to eat and drink as they passed by the area. As the two entered, Kyuzo couldn't help but notice many people look up to see who it was. Those who knew Ayamaro, their eyes were the ones most surprised and anxious. The fat man was a very high ranked person, able to choose who dies or lives. People thought of him as a Criminal Merchant. But he was a powerful merchant with many ties. What surprised some of the customers the most was the tall, blonde haired man with fair skin and red eyes. Rumors had circulated about the mysterious bodyguard Ayamaro hired months ago. It was said that the man was a former samurai, a skilled assassin who serves Ayamaro loyally or so they say. The truth was, Kyuzo would care less whether the corrupted merchant would die or not.
"Kyuzo. Don't look so uncaring, we are in the presence of friends." Ayamaro bellowed, following by a low laughter. "My duty is to protect you. Someone might be jealous of you and kill you for the sake of promotion. I have seen plenty of that in the war years ago." Kyuzo answered softly, his eyes soft and still observing the cafe. Ayamaro grunted in response, pleased with the answer and walked towards a table for two. The fat man took a seat and beckoned Kyuzo to join him. The bodyguard taking a seat to the left of him so he could block any attack directed towards his master's back. Something he can't do if he took the seat opposite of Ayamaro.
"Tell me more about yourself Kyuzo. Though it's been months since we first met, you have never said a word about yourself but a few comments. Pray tell, what is your past." Ayamaro said, glancing at his servant with his lazy eye while his teeth is showing. Kyuzo merely crossed his arms and legs, then said, "My past is my own. I fought in a war a few years ago. Though I was always on the losing side." Ayamaro didn't look pleased but didn't pursue the subject any further. He then waited for a waitress to come over so they could have their order.

Vincent stopped at the building directly opposite the cafe. He walked to the roof door and strode several stories downwards until he was a good enough height to see into the cafe but not be seen by other bystanders. His shotgun hung loosely at his side as he made his way toward one of the open windows, taking in his surrounding and making sure he wasn't spotted. Luckily, it seemed to be an abandoned appartment building, so he wouldn't be disturbed.
Vincent set his gun against the windowsill, placing a hand on the bottom barrel and placing his other on the top one. He quickly pulled away and the top barrel, which was considerably smaller than the others, and disconected it from the bottom two. He then connected it to the the butte of the shotgun, letting the other two barrels drop to his feet as he crouched over the windowsill.
Voila, his Cerberus had become a rifle with a pretty good shooting range. He adjusted the lense on the top and focused his crimson eye through it, getting Kyuzo in his sights, who was sitting at one of the tables with his so-called proprieter. He did not have a clear shot of the merchant, who was supposedly infamous in Midgar. It was a shame, too, the higher ups in the town would have paid good money for the likes of the criminal merchant.
Vincent rolled his shoulders, his messy black hair falling over his face, but he did not bother to move it. He placed his index finger over the trigger and got Kyuzo in his sights again, then let loose several bullets in his direction, quickly hiding behind the shadows of the window after doing so.

Fortunately for Kyuzo, a man in the cafe stood up just in time and was the one to take most of the bullets. The bullets that reached the bounty head merely scratched his shoulder and right arm. Kyuzo realizing that it was the man following them, he quickly got up and threw the chair into the bullet-holed window. It shattered and Kyuzo jumped out, drawing his twin swords almost immediately. Judging where the bullets were shot at, Kyuzo guessed that the assassin was in the building in front of the cafe.
The bodyguard's face remained calm and apathetic, showing that panicking will not help at all. Meanwhile, Ayamaro stood jaw agaped as his bodyguard left his side. He was scared, what if the bullets were out for him? The fat merchant looked over the man that was shot instead and saw that he was dying, but Ayamaro didn't care. Employees and people yelled in terror as they started pouring out of the cafe. What were they to do? They could get killed at any moment they thought. The minds of the naive was an amusing thing. Ayamaro then hid underneath the table, scared out of his wits.
Kyuzo started running towards the building, crossing the street full of cars. By then, some cars stopped and the passengers ran out when they heard the gunshots. The red-suited samurai cut through the cars, not caring whether or not people were in them. Each car was cut to pieces as Kyuzo made his way across the now broken street. He looked at the building where the assassin might be from and tried to guess where would be a good spot to shoot someone down in the one story cafe. He was guessing the 3rd or 4th stories. That was the best place for a clear shot.
Kyuzo stepped on a window still and jumped from window still to window still until he came across an open window. The bounty quickly rolled in quick enough that he was already near the door. Quickly standing up to detect any shots firing at him, Kyuzo nobody in the room and realized that the man would already be up on the roof. Kyuzo cut the door in half which broke it and made his way towards the roof, arriving there in a few minutes with both swords drawn.

Once Vincent realized that his shot had missed, he cursed under his breath , and quickly grabbed the two barrels from off the ground by his feet and and ran up the stairs, his gold boots clinking as they hit each stair. A man like him, he wouldn't be surprised if he already di figure out where the shots come from. He connected his shotgun back together while running, let it strap back onto his back after he was finished. He burst open the door to the roof, and ran to the side of the building.
He stopped off to the the edge of the roof just in time to see Kyuzo burst open the door behind him. He looked over at him over his shoulder, examining him with intense crimson eyes. Then he turned back to the edge and jumped off the building, scailing down the wall with his feet where he promptly hit the ground in a crouch and went running for the cafe where he was previously at. Most of the people were out of it, so he dived through the broken window. At first glance it would seem like he was heading toward the merchant, but instead he slid across the ground and kneeled near the man that had gotten shot by Vincent's own bullets.
Vincent deposited Cerberus in his cloak and then put both palms over the man's chest, a white glow emanating, which then entered the man's body. He wasn't able to fully heal him, but his life was no longer in danger. He turned to a waitress who was still in the shop, and spoke softly, it was hard to even hear him.
"..Get him to a hospital."
After this, he straitened up again to face Kyuzo, who would have already been there by the time Vincent had done all this. Cerberus was already withdrawn again, cautiously by his side.

Kyuzo's face remained blank as he watched Vincent jumped off the roof. Needless to say, the bodyguard would follow. He jumped down and started running down by running on the wall. When he was close enough to reach the ground, he stabbed his swords into the pavement and pushed off it to make a front flip. Kyuzo landed perfectly on the street without so much of an injury.
The samurai started running across the street again, cutting down innocent people or anything in his path. His face not showing a hint of remorse or regret, Kyuzo's eyes were cold and lifeless. This man was a real killer. A child appeared in the man's way as well as the mother who tried to save her child. Kyuzo took one step, and he appeared behind them. The child and mother's chest started spewing out blood and they fell to the ground.
By the time Vincent faced Kyuzo again, the samurai's right sword was pointing at the gunner's face, inches away from stabbing the man. His left arm hanging by his side and holding onto the left sword. "Who are you?" Kyuzo asked seriously, his expression still a deep blank.
The merchant whom his bodyguard left behind stood behind him. "KYUZO! WHAT'S GOING ON!" Snot was running down his nose and he was in tears. The fat pig was terrified out of his wits. Ayamaro started crawling towards Kyuzo, sniveling in fear. Kyuzo eyed him and gave Ayamaro a slash as he turned. The merchant's head rolled off, and his body hit the floor. Kyuzo quickly faced Vincent again in case of another attack.

Vincent's crimson eyes met with Kyuzo's an intense look flaring around him. He merely stood there with the sword right in front of him. The only movement was his tattered cloak, which seemed to be blowing to the side by the wind coming from the shattered window.
Then he heard the merchent move, crawling toward Kyuzo on his hands and knees. Once Kyuzo turned to deal with the fat merchant, Vincent jumped backwards, landing on one of the booth tables and getting in a crouching position.
He looked at the decapitated man out of the corner of his eye. He had no remorse for the merchant, but this was still wrong. His crimson eyes caught Kyuzo in his view again. He frowned under the cowl of his cloak, Cerverus pointing at the man should he try and attack.
"Kyuzo... wanted criminal... 1 million gil... I wonder.. how you got such a title." Vincent says this, only a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
