As the temple came into view, you could see more clearly the symbols on the banners that waved slightly on the wind. They looked like this.  The group approaches the large oak door, an inscription lined intop of it. Pray to Yu Yevon. Dream, fayth. Forever and ever, grant us prosperity.When they enter, they are in a large, round room, elegantly dressed with crimson carpets and heavy oak tables. The column is supprted by various pillars, placed within the circle. An ascending staircase is in the middle of the room. |

Jin just follwed Yuna into the temple mainly because she knew everything about this realm.He didn't say anything as he looked over his shoulder to see the others.He looked to his right and saw Yuffie walking beside him.He could tell by the look of her eyes that she didn't like Magus,but who would after the introduction he just made.Jin said nothing at all and simply followed Yuna into an Holy Temple

Magus did not like this temple. It was way too stuffy and everyone seemed so serious about what they were doing. He preferred his own altar, with it's dark candles and Magic Circle for ceremonies, not this over extravagant building.

Tidus walked into the temple silently as he scanned the others. Yuffie reminded him of Rikku in more ways then one.

Yuna turns around and clasps her hand together, addressing the group.
"This is the Yevon Temple. Welcome."
She turns back around and heads for the stair case in the middle of the room.
"This, it would seem, would be the best place to start."

Magus said nothing. He did not feel welcome at all. In fact, he was receiving many looks of fear from the temple dwellers.

Tidus followed Yuna into near the stircase and finally spoke. "So when we find these crystal's if there real what do we do with them?" Tidus asked.

((Having ALL of them turned to stone is rather boring. You can't interact with anybody but the characters of the story..))
At first, Magus thought that Yevon Temple simply had a taste for many statues. It was then that he realized that the statues gave off a life force. They were people!

Yuffie was still in a little trance just looking at all the statues "So these statues are people hmmm. I bet if we find the crystals People turn back to people." yuffie said most likely not making sence to anyone but herself

Yuna nodded slowly, gaze lingering on each of the statues. The people had been dear friends to her when she lived on the island, and it seemed she was willing to do anything to bring them back.

Tidus touched one of them and saw it rock and almost fall he backed away and continued walking.

Jin,kept quiet to himself for the moment until he saw the people who suddenly turned to stone.After looking at them for awhile,Jin slowly went up to Yuna and asked her"These are some of your loved friends am I correct?"Jin,wasn't exactly the emotional type,but was loyal to his friends,and helped them in any way he could.

Magus walked up to one of statues and examined it carefully. The person's face was frozen in fear. He chanted a few strange incantations that the rest of the group wouldn't understand. An energy surrounded the statue. At first, the statue seemed to get lighter, as if it were gaining a skin tone. However, that soon disappeared, and it was just a statue once more.
"Whomever cursed these people has powerful magic. Though I am an expert on curses, I cannot lift this. It will take an enhancement of my power in order to do so...."
Magus looked grimly at the statue. He had a lot more trouble on his hands then he had previously thought.....

Yuna looked away and sighed, turning to the staircase behind her.
"Well, we might as well get this over with.."
She starts to ascend the stairs, two at a time with her casual step.

Magus followed silently behind. Normally, he would be in the lead, but Yuna knew this place much better then him. Plus, if they were attacked, she would be the first to be assaulted....

Yuna entered the next room at the top of the stairs. This room was circular also, much like the one downstairs. There were pews sided against the walls and ornate works of art hung on the walls. The room was a lot dimmer, as the only light were a few lanterns on the walls. There were also people made of stone here also, a few sitting down, and a couple standing by the door to the next room.
Yuna flinched at the dight of more of her petrified aquaintences but continued on.

Tidus was amazed about the power of the statues but he didn't like it. It made him upset seeing Yuna sad. "Lets do this." he said now with more determination.

A whale type figure watched from the shadows (Sin if anyone's wondering  !).
'So...these are the ones?...Well...can't let them get away so easily now shall we?!'
In the shadows it summoned forth a few blob creatures to attack the party. (These creatures are obviously in that battle thread and once the battle thread's done they'd be dead here.) The creatures slithered out of the shadows within the temple. Red eyes looming out of the darkness.

After the battle, Yuna sighs as she steps back.
"I... wonder where those came from? Looks like we're not the only one's here..."

Balthier looks around the area with his hand on the hilt of his weapon. He then looks for the way forward and looks toward the others.
"Well then, there is no use standing around is it? Whatever may be there, will be there." Balthier says with a defiant smile as he steps to proceed farther.

Sin followed their progress. It's eyes glinting slightly when it's eyes hit the light. 'Fools!' he thought before making his presence known somewhat. The whale-ish monster hit the nearby wall of the temple angrily. Causing the place to shake. Blasting a terrible roar which sounded oddly like beams groaning under much strain.

Balthier staggers in the minor quake a bit which was quite sudden to him. Looking around in thought, he notices nearby pillars straining...the sound of beams groaning reaffriming Balthier's suspsicion. He then looks around and then at the group.
"Well then...it seems this place is prone to collapse due to something in here causing a bit of ruckus...shall we keep going then?" Balthier says with his typical corsair like grin as he walks to catch up to Magus. For some reason he was unphased by the shaking.

Yuna struggles to remain on her feet as Sin made contact with the temple. She grabbed one of the nearby poles that held up the building to support her self. After the turmoil was over, she looked around frantically.
"Wha was that?"
She hurried to a nearby window and looked out from the temple. She gasped as she saw Sin, a hand covering her mouth as he eyes narrowed.
"Here? Now?"

Balthier casually walks towards the window after hearing Yuna. She peers out the window and sees the hulking beast. A frown graced his lips as he shook his head with another small smile on his face.
"So I take it this is your world's big bad beast? Lovely..."

Sin thrashed once again at the temple in attempts to make them come out. He was doing his best to prevent them from accomplishing their task in finding the crystal of this world. Roaring with rage and hatred as he once again rammed at the temple making its shaking become worse every time he hit it. The place would surely collapse upon them if they didn't get out now.
The gigantic beast knew where the crystal was and was going to greatly stem their progress.
