Time to Fly

[Kail Lancaster]

OOC:This picks up from Temple of the Lost


Kail walks into the cockpit of the Stral and starts preping the ship for take off and,sits in the pilot seat checking the read outs of the ship.

[Reno]

Reno wasn't exactly sure if he should remain where he was or head out and see what was happening. He didn't know why but he kept getting this nagging feeling that he should keep watch of the ship. Like...there was something amiss. Maybe it was only his imagination? He wasn't exactly sure as he got out into the hallway and peered down it towards the cockpit.

It was all up to Kail to pilot this thing.

[Kail Lancaster]

Kail finds the com button and hits it "Ok people where lifting up in a few minutes so get seated" he said and shuts off the com. Kail tilts his head back "Hey Reno ya might whant to find a place to sit if I where you" as he flicked a few switches and the Airship came alive and started rise up from the ground and took off.

[Reno]

Reno rubbed the back of his head as he wondered how things were going at the pilot's seat when the com hissed into life. He looked upwards as he heard Kail's voice over the com. His question was answered when Kail announced that everything was alright. 'Whew! That's good!' he thought. Still standing.

That was when he heard Kail speak to him. Reno, whom was taken aback, hadn't gotten to a seat an thus found himself being yanked backwards down the hall from the force of the airship's sudden speed. "WHOA!" he exclaimed as he just barely grabbed a door knob and hung on for dear life. Just as soon as that happened, it stopped and Reno soon found himself face flat on the floor in the hall.

'Geez! I think from now on that whenever I enter this thing I'll be sure to stay near a seat before Kail decides to take off like that again!' he thought as he shook his head and got back to his feet but with some difficulty. Reno went for the nearest seat he could find which was down the hall he was in and to the far right near a wide open window. Reno sat there and mentally sighed. A lucky thing he was able to grab hold of something before anything serious happened like him maybe flying out of the windows or what not!

[Kail Lancaster]

Kail cuts the speed down as he got use to the controls of the Stral. "Heh heh heh sorry about that Reno but I gave fair warning to you" Kail said as he pilots the Stral to the next objective.

[Reno]

Reno raised an eyebrow as he folded his arms. Giving Kail a look like 'I don't believe you'. He didn't say this but he was thinking 'Sure! More like a split second warning before taking off right away!' Reno shook his head. "I'm just happy I was able to cling onto something before anything more serious happened!" he replied.

He was a little mentally shaken from that incident. Reno'd be alright though. He always swung back. Curious, he asked "Uh....so where to now?" He hadn't any ideas where they were all going to go to next.

[Kail Lancaster]

"Well Asura said that Machine City Goug had some type of Machine that would enhance her healing powers to restore this world,so we are heading there but" before Kail could finish there was a huge shadow covering the Stral. As it came in to view it was Kefka's air born battleship. It seems that the fate where not to kind to Reno right now.

[Reno]

Reno recalled that but WHERE was the mentioned machine was the question. He was about to ask about that when he noticed how dark it got all of a sudden. 'Why the hell is it so dark?' he wondered. It was then that he decided to look out the window to see if the night had indeed approached like he had been assuming. Sadly, it wasn't!

He raised both of his eyebrows at the sight of a battle ship. "Uh....well....THIS can't be good!" he said aloud. Reno then frowned at the ship he was seeing. Honestly, fate just wasn't on his side today. This made the red head angry. His temper wasn't something that should be contended with. When he got mad, he got serious! He looked around wondering if there was some sort of weapon's thing around here somewhere. He was intent on firing at that ship.

"Yo! Do you know where any of this ship's weapons like lasers or something that'd fire back at that thing?" he asked Kail.

[Squall]

The door to the bridge opened again. Squall stepped through holding his hand on his head. After being dead, and unconsious for such a long time, you couldnt blame the guy for having a headache.
He looked at the group and spoke "...I dont think I've showed my gratitude for having to bring me back into this world again...all I want to...err...yeah." Squall was never good in expressing his feelings, but it was understandable that he showed his gratitude.
Everything shook, and Squall went to the window to see what was up. "...A battle ship.....not good. And Balthier is out..." he then ran up to Kail. "Boost out of here! If they catch us we're done for!"

[Kail Lancaster]

"Roger that Squall and you might whant to get into your seat right now" Kail then finds something called a Nitro Booster with an evil grin he presses the button.

After he did that the ship goes into over drive. The Airforce sends out several missles at the Stral,with Kail's skills and the airship's speed they doge all of them. "Reno find the weapon controls" he asked as he keeps on avoiding gunfire and missle barrages.

[Reno]

Reno nearly had a heart attack when someone's voice reached his ears. Turning to look at whom just spoke he gave a grin. It was their buddy, Squall. He gave a nod. "Yeah, we know! Don't worry about it!" he replied before bringing his attention back towards the ship outside. 'Man, do I want to shoot that thing down!' he thought bitterly.

The seriousness back as his anger once again was irked. Reno heard the order, thank god he was sitting this time around, and turned his head towards where Kial was piloting. He was about to say something when they sped off. The force of the ship's speed had made him go back into his seat a bit. The speed his body soon got used to and Reno was able to sit up again. He glanced all around for the weapon controls. His blue eyes caught something. There seemed to be a control panel with triggers.

"Alright! Now we're talking!" he said as he went over to it. Reno sat upon the seat before the control panel and examined the console closely. "Okay...let's see here!" he said to himself. Looking at the console's surface and buttons, Reno tried to decipher which button would activate the system. A green one was really catching his eye and he glanced over at it. The label said 'power on'. Reno pressed it and the system was turned on. Lasers were activated. "Alright! Now to give them a taste of what we're made of!" he said excitedly. Grabbing hold of the two switches.

'Hmm....shouldn't there be another one of these things?' he thought as he glanced over his shoulder. An identical one was right across from where Reno was sitting. "Hey! There's another control panel here for another set of those lasers!" he called to the others. Another shake from the ship brought Reno back to his own control area. "Alright! Eat this!" he said as he moved the triggers to face the ship and pressed the two red buttons on top of their handles. A red light shot out at top speed at the ship that was attacking them. Hitting the ship. Sadly, it hadn't done much damage but it was helping them somewhat.

[Squall]

"I got this." Squall said as he jumped to the seat right across Reno. "Alright...Aim....Fire!" He yelled as he pressed both red buttons on his handle. He didnt shoot the ship though, he shot the missiles that where firing at them. That should provide some cover fire and allow Kail to maneuver the Strahl easier.

[Kail Lancaster]

"Nice shooting there Reno" said Kail as he gives Reno a thumbs up. The Airforce droped two huge missles from its under belly and launched them at the Stral as they got closer in range it broke a part sent out nearily a thousand missles at the air ship.

"Ah hell' said Kail as he does another break neck boost turns and dives he avoided most of them but some did hit the ship. "How did Kefka get a hold of something like this.Its to advanced for this world or any of the other ones except Earth somebody must be helping him with weapons like that" he thought.

[Reno]

Reno smirked upon hearing Kail's remark. "There's more where that came from!" he replied. He nodded his head when Squall said he would handle the other weapon's control. Now it was him and Squall that were controlling the weapon's system. Hopefully, they'd be able to handle this. So far, the shooting wasn't any problem. In fact, it reminded Reno of a video game back in his world.

He raised his eyebrows as he watched missiles coming towards them and fast. He prepared to shoot those but before he could they had split up into several different missiles all coming towards them! "Look out!" he shouted. Kail had maneuvered the ship and the missiles had missed them mostly except for a few. "Not looking too good!" he said to himself as he then aimed again. "Good idea Squall!" he called back upon seeing what the other was doing. That was a smart move right there. Squall was shooting any missiles that came in their direction.

Reno, on the other hand, was intent on slowing that ship down by firing back at it. He took aim again and fired. The lasers shot the side of the other ship. Smoke billowed from where he shot it. He found aiming a tad more difficult now that the enemy ship started swaying this way and that. Apparently, the enemy decided that they should start moving if they didn't want anything else to get damaged. 'I'll still get you!' he thought as he began aiming again. Waiting for the right time to shoot it.

[Kail Lancaster]

"Alright you two I'm going to make a pass at that thing and you two will unload with what ever you have,where going to have to use hit and run tactics on this thing" said Kail as he did another break neck turn and came along The Airforce on a attack run on its right side.

[Squall]

"Gotcha." Squall said as he focused his view on whatever that airship were throwing at them. He was ready to unload Strahl's payload to Kefka's ship any time.

[Reno]

Reno grinned evilly at the order Kail just gave them. "Alright! Let's do this!" he called back. Still keeping his aim on the enemy ship. Prepared to fire all they had into it. His blue eyes remained focused at their target as Kail turned the ship towards the enemy.

Suddenly, they lunged towards the enemy ship's right. Reno open fired on the enemy ship. Aiming for anything that looked vital to the ship. For some strange reason, he found this fun and exciting.

[Kail Lancaster]

As the Stral passed the Airforce the payload from Reno and Squall did some damage on the battle ship. Kail pulled a way quite fast to doge cannon fire from the ships upper deck. "Damn I wish this ship had a super weapon on here" he said as he gained some distance away and prepaired for another attack run.

The Airforce sent out smaller ships to engauge the Stral. "Ah hell this day gets better and better"Kail said sarcastily as he had more problems to deal with.

"Hmm...looks like fun...anyway, I cant have you guys dying on me now can I?" Said rose as she drew her sword. Rose looked at squall and reno, "Let me take care of this." She transformed into a dragoon and flew out of the ship.

[Squall]

Squall nodded. "I got you covered Rose." He used his weapons to give Rose cover fire so that she could use her powers to deliver a blow to Kefka's ship. Boy, did she have that little secret about becoming a dragon well hidden, she would prove to be a great asset.

[Kail Lancaster]

The swarm of smaller airships see Rose flying out to take them on they split into two groups one going after Rose the other was going after the Stral. The group one started to fire on Rose pelting machine gun fire on her as well as missles and rockits.

Group two tryed to box in the Stral but Kail kept doging and evading. "Damn I wish I could help her" said Kail but some one walked in it looked like a human like rabit. "It seems that the gods must hate me right now" said the rabit woman and pulls Kail out the pilot seat and sits down. "You did well kid but let some one with experiance" she said and starts flying the Stral. "And you are" Kail asked she then replys "its Fran".

Kail nods his head and heads to the lower deck and activeates his Moon Rune and uses his Energy Wings skill and flew out to help Rose. While this was happening The Airforce starts chargeing its main cannon to take out the Stral.

[ღÑíght§háÐèღ]

Rose waved her hand and a giant black hole came out of the sky. "Come to me, Dragon of the darkness!" A huge black dragon came flying out of the black hole. "Attack!" said rose. The dragon immediately obeyed her command. It flew around the ship and opened its mouth. A huge beam of darkness was sent toward the enemy airship and went right through it, leaving a giant hole through the side.

[Kail Lancaster]

As the main battle ship gets blasted it fires the main cannon as it was aimed at the Stral. Kail sees this and gets in front of the Stral "Moon Energy Barrier" as a huge barrier covers the Airship and takes the blow. "Damn that was close" he said and turns to the rest of the small fry "Time to die take this Moon Angel's Wrath" the wings start to glow brite and sends out 100 small energy beams that obliterate the rest of the enemys as the beams search out a fast speeds. "Hey Rose lets head back" he said as he flys back to the Stral.

[Reno]

Reno was so focused on the ship at the moment that he hadn't bothered to look back when the others left the ship but him and Squall. He did notice a dragon thing that looked like Rose almost. It had the same type of wings but obviously bigger. Reno, seeing that this was aiming for the enemy ship and not the Strahl, helped fire at the little battleships and anything else as well as at the big enemy ship.

"They just can't stay down can they?" he muttered to himself as more little ships came at them. He had no idea that someone else was piloting the Strahl. His blue eyes widened as he saw what appeared to be Kail flying right outside of the ship they were all in. 'What the hell is he doing?' he thought as he peered over his shoulder. Squall was still here but Kail and Rose weren't. They had gone outside and now some rabbit woman was flying the ship.

'How the hell did she get here?' he pondered before returning his attention back to firing at the enemy ship. Eventually, a large dragon appeared and shot a hole through the enemy ship. Kail had put up a shield around the Strahl as other fire nearly got them. "WHOO!" he cheered, seeing that they had won. "Alright! Now THAT'S what I call fireworks!" he shouted in glee.

[Kail Lancaster]

Kail slowly walks into the cockpit of the Stral and walks over to the pilot seat "please take us to Machine City Goug" he asked and then fell over as he drained of most of his energy when he flew out and protechted the airship from that huge cannon blast.

"Will one please take this kid to a bed already" Fran said as she laid in a corse to Goug and speaks again "Tell you two later who I am after you deal with him" she said pointing at Kail.

[Reno]

(Since no one replied in a while! )

Reno blinked as he got off the seat he was in before the weapon's system. He watched as Kail just collapsed. Apparently he had used a lot of energy to have done that shield as well as fight out there. It was a very good thing he hadn't collapsed outside otherwise he'd be falling to his doom if that ever happened.

The red headed Turk gave the rabbit woman a quizzical look with a raised eyebrow when she told them what to do. 'Excuse me?!' he thought. Just WHO was she to give them orders like that? Still, Kail was their comrade and Reno went over to him to help lift him up. Preparing to put the unconscious teenager into the nearest unoccupied bunkard of the nearest room down the Strahl's hall. Then again, Reno was a red head. He often times took things too seriously. Red heads tended to either have extremely mellow personalities or very aggressive ones. Reno was an oddity there for he was a mixture.

He pondered about what she had said before and decided to allow it to pass. She had said please after all.

[Squall]

Squall looked around as a person appeared. He raised his eyebrow as he saw Kail collapse from pure exhaustion. Squall slowly stood up from his seat and helped Reno carry Kail to the nearest room down. He slowly settled him down "Take your rest, you've earned it." Squall then took his glance and shifted over to Reno who was next to him. "So...what now?" He said. Squall felt like they were losing their numbers, it wasnt so far from the truth either.

[Reno]

Reno, with the help of Squall, easily brought Kail into the nearest room to put him down onto a bunkard until he was able to get back up later on. He raised an eyebrow when Squall asked him what now. Honestly, the red head hadn't any ideas where they were going at the moment.

"Well...your guess is as good as mine....from what I heard earlier...we're headed for that Machine City Goug...whatever that is!" he replied to Squall's question. Giving a mere shrug before turning back to the door and heading out. His metallic rod slung over his shoulder again.

[Kail Lancaster]

<Time Skip>


A massive blast hits the Airshp and does heavy damage to the Stral. As both Reno and Squall look out of the window they will see a giant brid like woman charging a huge ball of energy from its mouth.

"MUHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH I hope you like my little gift" said voice of pure evil and malice with a touch of insanity to it. If any one take a guess on it the voice would have been Kefka.

Kail wakes up from the blast and see's the dragon "Ah hell I had such a good dream too,Oh well Hey guys I'm going to led you my energy wings abillity so we can take this thing down" said Kail as he was feeling a lot better.
