Quistis stands outside on one of the balconies at the garden as she watches the sea go by in the long voyage. A wind blows her hair about as she sighs in boredom. Suddenly a bubbling of water can be seen in the distance. Quistis looks up.
"Hmm?"
The water continues to bubble as a massive serpent of blue scales with fins on the side of it's head begin. It lets out a terrifying roar as a tidal wave flies at the garden causing the whole thing to shake. Quistis is consequently drenched in water as the serpent prepares to attack again. It was Leviathan. Quistis goes over to a nearby intercom and speaks into it.
"Squall...we have a problem...remember our friend Leviathan?"

Squall was standing by the window talking to Reno about having something to while they were adrift in sea. He then heard Quistis talking through the intercome and felt a slight chill down his spine.
"...What about Leviathan?" Squall asked, he somehow felt something was going to happen.

Quistis agitated turns to the speaker.
"You can't tell me that you don't feel the tidal wave hitting the gard...ahh!!'
Another tidal wave hits and Quistis is swept into the ocean while Leviathan continues it's assault

Reno raised an eyebrow when the intercom was set off. Instructor Trepe's voice was heard and Reno shut his mouth. He looked over to Squall upon hearing the mention of Leviathan. 'So...Leviathan exists here too?' he wondered. However, by the sound of it, Leviathan was his own master. Swimming around in the sea. The Leviathan Reno heard of could only be brought forth by materia and never really existed except for inside the materia itself.
He grabbed at the windowsill as a rather rough bump moved the garden. "What the-?!" he exclaimed as he peered out the window towards the ocean below. He couldn't see the monster but he could see the ocean below. Leviathan must've been attacking them and then he turned his head right around hearing a scream on the other end of the intercom. His eyebrows were raised as well as his eyes being widened before looking back over to Squall during all this.
It sounded like Instructor Trepe was in trouble. It sounded like she might've fallen over into the water below. 'Wow....Leviathan's nastier here than he was in our homeland where he was under more control!' thought Reno. He was prepared to go help out upon hearing Squall's orders. He didn't know why but, he considered Squall as their leader for now. Besides, it WAS his homeland so that explained him being leader to the others that weren't from here.

"Dammit..of all the.." As Squall said this, the garden shook furiously at the force of the waves hitting the garden again and again. He was able to mantain his footing as he heard Quistis' scream through the intercome. A battle was surely inevitable. He then looked over at Reno and said "...How's this for spending time..? Lets go!" as he ran upstairs to the dock.

Reno looked up at the intercom before then looking back to Squall again. He furrowed his eyebrows upon hearing Squall's remark. "I really wasn't planning on this but looks like we've no choice!" he replied and ran after Squall to where Leviathan would be.
