Rinoa walked the streets of Midgar. she looked around at the dirty city. she hadent been here before so it was all new to her. she had been wandering and since the clothes that people wore here were all dull, people were giving Rinoa looks since she was wearing blue. Rinoa sighed as she sat down on a bench.
Rinoa then stood up getting sick of people staring at her. she then walked down he street till she reached an old church. walking inside she looked around and saw that no one was here. she then walked up to the front where there were flowers and she then said to herself "they are gorgous." she then realized she should move on so she walked out of the church.
walking out side of Midgar, Rinoa noticed she was in a desert waste land. she then looked around and saw no life at all. maybe i should go back into the city. she thought as she then turned around and Devil Rides appeared around her. she then took out her blaster edge and counted. there was at least a dozen. she then fired her blaster edge and she then was hit by an attack.

Reno had been walking about the streets of Edge with a fellow Turks member. A lesser one in rank compared to himself, Rude, Elena, and Tseng. He had to be teaching this kid the ins and outs on how it was to be a Turks. Why the heck he referred to this new member as a kid was something he'd never know. Of course, this guy had to be around his age maybe younger but since Reno had been in the Turks a lot longer he considered him a kid.
Today, he had to take the new guy out to the desert area for a hands on experience in what he'd have to be dealing with whenever the Turks had to go on foot for missions. His red hair was odder than anyone else's around here. No one stood out more than Reno's hair did unless they were Sephiroth, Kadaj, Loz, or Yazoo. Them or a person from another part of Gaia. His attire, as well as the new member's demanded respect as well so they weren't often messed with. Reno's hair did get a lot of stares though. However, if he were to look in the person's general direction they'd immediately avert their eyes since they knew clearly what he was even if they didn't know him by name.
Strolling out into the desert with the newer member in tow, Reno had his metallic rod extended in preparation for any battles by any monsters that popped up. Unlike the frightened new member, Reno wasn't at all afraid of what they might encounter. This was all familiar to him. Not to mention the fact he also had a good head on him if the need be. Meaning, if there was no chance of them winning, he could have them retreat before it got too brutal.
It was then that they came across an odd sight. A young girl dressed in blue, such a bright blue, was fighting against what appeared to be a large number of Devil Rides. The new member behind him had gasped at the number. Reno glanced over his shoulder and then nodded. Giving the signal to move out. That's what the younger member had been dreading. He could clearly see it in his brown eyes. The new member had taken out his gun, his weapon of choice that he chose back in headquarters, and rushed towards the fray. Firing at anything nearby as long as it wasn't near the young girl. Reno rushed in to but unlike the other, he had roughly side kicked a Devil Ride. Sending it flying into the air so that it landed onto two more of its fellows. "We see that you needed help, there miss!" he said with a sly smirk on his face before bringing up his metallic rod to smack aside another Devil Ride that tried to take him by surprise.

Rinoa looked at the man. his hair was a bright red and to her it looked like fire. she then fired her blaster edge again and she then said to him "help would be nice." she then continued fighting and one of the monsters knocked her into the red headed guy. she then said to him "sorry." Rinoa blushed a bit. she hadent been that close to anyone but Squall. she then continued to fight.

Reno watched the other Turks member in the corner of his eye for the time being as the fight progressed. He seemed shaky but capable to stand on his own for a while. That was good. It showed that the man's training was going splendidly back in headquarters. All this young man needed now was the hands on experience on what a real battle was like.
He was proud of his job. It was good to also have become one of the top four Turks members too. That was what Reno liked about being a Turks member. No one messed with them except for someone like Cloud or Sephiroth or Kadaj. Other than that, no one was keen enough to try and mess with them. He raised a red eyebrow as he looked back over at the girl when she mentioned any help would be nice. Why the hell were they here right now fighting along with her?
He nearly had a heart attack when the other randomly was knocked into him from an attack coming from one of the monsters. In fact, it surprised him so much he accidentally let lose a bolt of lightning from his rod. The lightning spell having come from the materia he had stored within it. The lightning bolt, thankfully a small one, had zapped his fellow Turks member in training. A yelp announced the spell had made its mark and a ruffled "HEY!" was uttered. Not even looking in the member's direction, Reno shouted over his shoulder hurriedly "Sorry!" Looking over at the girl, he simply nodded to show that it was alright despite what the other Turks member was thinking.
This was getting a bit annoying. Reno decided to give the monsters a taste of what his rod could do. Pointing it at a nearby group of Devil Rides, he let out a bigger bolt of lightning. Zapping the first it hit into a crispy critter. The others getting badly singed from the sparks that had ensued from the one that got the full blast of the spell.
(It's alright lol!)

Rinoa fired some more blasts. she hit a few monsters and killed them. he blaster edge was like a boomerang. she then fired it some more and she then began to think. She really didnt know why these people would even want to fight with her anyway. continueing she was then hit a few more times and she continued to fire. there were about 5 more left and she attacked another leaving 4.
(yuckie just dont know what to say XP)

The only reasons why Reno and the fellow Turks member were in this fray in the first place was because the new member firing his gun currently needed the hands on experience. Reno was just here to make sure the guy didn't get hurt too badly in the process. All Turks members were looked out for by the more experienced ones. Reno, being one of the higher ranked, was here to technically 'babysit' the other member.
If he got hurt, Reno would end the fight quickly. Taking his member out of there before anything proved fatal. Retreating had gotten Reno out of very tight spots when the going got too extreme. One almost got him killed when fighting against Cloud, Barret, and Tifa back on the pillar in the Sector Seven Slums which were now completely totaled and flattened. Courtesy of the bomb Reno had set off.
Reno looked at the odd weapon this girl had. It shot out a projectile like a crossbow would do but the projectile came back like that of a boomerang landing back into its slot. Very interesting weapon. He dismissed that from his mind as he let the other Turks member take on the remaining four monsters. This wasn't Reno's fight after all. Only kicking back any Devil rides that came his way this time.
The newer member was doing well but still wasn't at the level Reno was at in fighting these things. He could tell by the way the kid reacted. Shaky but still holding. His aim wasn't very good because of how shaky he was. Reno could clearly see that. "Hold steady! Never let your guard down for a second!" he called out to him. This seemed to calm the newbie and he fired effortlessly this time around. Taking out three of the remaining Devil rides but the fourth reached him in no time. It snapped at his leg ravaging the leg to the point where it looked like it had been mangled by a wild dog. Reno jumped in to fend it off and killed it by ringing his metal rod on its head and letting loose a strong jolt of lightning through its body when it let go of the other Turk.
"DAMN! That really hurt!" exclaimed the new recruit as he clutched at his injured leg in agony. Reno turned off his metal rod for the time being as he bent down to examine his fellow member's leg. It was hurt pretty badly. Sadly, no Turks carried a curative magic. The girl here too was hurt. Judging by the blood flowing from the other's leg, he couldn't manage to be dragged along by Reno without dying from the loss of blood. The leg was bleeding THAT badly. Taking out his cell phone, Reno flipped the top open and dialed the number for the helicopter. "Hey! This is Reno, here! We need the helicopter pronto! The new recruit's leg got savaged and a young girl looks like she may be in need of some medical attention too! Hurry, I don't think our new member can hold out for much longer."
After having said that, Reno closed the top. He was certain that his call had already been tracked before it had been answered so help was on its way and at a fast pace. Sure enough, the thumping of the helicopter's blades could be heard as it approached them. "If you need help with your injuries, I suggest taking a small trip in our helicopter! I know we don't know each other but it'd be a wise decision to take help when it's there!" he said to Rinoa before Helping his fellow member onto his feet. Having slung his arm over his shoulder and wrapped his arm around his navel to help him stand.

Rinoa then ran over to Reno and she looked at the guy's leg. she then said in almost a whisper "cure." and the leg was completly cured. she then looked up at the red head and she then said to him "you buddy will be fine." she then looked at Reno and she then said "my name is Rinoa." she then smiled.
Rinoa was a sorceress. she then looked up and saw the helicopter and she then said "if you dont mind, would it be ok to come with you?" Rinoa then began to think. she knew about Shinra and she also knew they may be able to help her.

Reno hadn't at all considered the young girl to be able to heal his young comrade here. She could evidently use curative magic. Just goes to show the assumption of her not being able to use such magic was wrong. No matter, anyways they still did need the helicopter to transport them both. His blue eyes glanced upwards as the helicopter came into view and was almost above them.
He brought his gaze back down towards Rinoa and nodded. "Thanks!" the other Turks member said before getting to his own feet. Wiggling his leg a bit to get the feel of it again. Reno let go of him and stood a ways away from them as he glanced upwards. His metal rod slung over his shoulder as he waited. Looking over at Rinoa, since he hadn't replied to her introduction, he replied "...Thanks again, Rinoa. I'm Reno and the young recruit you just healed is named Ray!" (GAH! Not a good name but meh! XD!)
The helicopter was lowering itself a good few feet ahead from where they were to land. Turning to face Rinoa, Reno heard the girl's request. He raised a slight eyebrow at that. Didn't she know whom the Turks were? Most people feared them for reasons they knew well about. No matter, it'd be repaying her for her generosity. The Turks were people to not mess around with and often thought to be arrogant and uncaring but there was still some good in them all. They always returned a favor. Eventually, Reno gave a nod "Alright. You can come along." Finally, the helicopter had come to a complete landing and the copter's door opened up to allow them in. They were ushered in by a burly Turks member. Ray went up towards the helicopter and was about to step in first when Reno grabbed his shoulder and gave him a sly half smirk. "What're the ways of the Turks Ray?" he questioned him. A question clearly stating that Ray was forgetting himself and manners. Turks had manners despite the kidnapping deal and etc. Ray lowered his head, shamed of himself as he realized what he was doing and stepped aside. Allowing Rinoa to enter first. "Forgive me!" he exclaimed in embarrassment. Reno gave an approving nod to Ray. Patiently waiting for Rinoa to enter first.
"Reno! What's that girl doing here?!" exclaimed the burly Turks member. "She helped us out back there healing Ray's leg. "Her name's Rinoa and she'd like to come along with us..." was his answer. The burly Turks member glanced in the girl's direction for a brief second before nodding and saying nothing else. He, too, understood that this was some way of repaying Rinoa so he questioned no more.

Rinoa smiled at the turk member and she then said in a kind voice "your welcome." she then smiled and turned her attention to Reno again and she then said "nice to meet both of you." she then looked up at the helicopter and it landed. Reno opened the door and yelled at one of the turk comrades. as he did, Rinoa then said "no it's fine really." she then stepped inside the helicopter.
Rinoa got in and she then shook her head at Reno. she then said "i'm not from here. i am from Timber. I am also a sorceress." she then looked at Reno and she then asked "have you seen some one with spiky hair, its brown and he has a scar downg down like this." Rinoa then took her finger and started at the lower part of her forrehead and went down to about underneath her left eye.

Reno hadn't yelled at Ray. He more just basically spoke to him with a calm tone as he usually did when speaking with others. No one ever learned from being yelled at. That was for those that were Shinra soldiers whom had to deal with tension in the thick of battle and had to keep their wits about them or they'd be dead. Ray merely nodded to Rinoa as she entered the helicopter. Ray followed in after her as well as Reno did.
Reno glanced over towards the person in the pilot's seat. A look that clearly said he'd rather be doing it than the other person in the pilot's seat. However, he sat himself down in an empty seat next to the burly Turks member. Glancing back over the seat towards Rinoa when she spoke to him. He raised an eyebrow hearing that Rinoa was a Sorceress. He raised an eyebrow before snickering slightly at that. "If you say so!" was his response. He hadn't heard of sorceresses here nor had anyone else hence the disbelief. Reno stopped as he listened to whom she was describing and clearly knew exactly whom she was talking about.
Reno had gone on a journey to save the worlds along with Squall and Kail in the past. If it wasn't for them, these worlds and everyone else would be destroyed or still petrified in stone. "Ah! I DO know whom you're talking about, now that you mention it!" he replied with a smirk and a knowing nod. "My buddy Squall....sadly, Rinoa I haven't seen him for a while. However, if I do come across the guy I'll mention you were looking for him." Sadly, that was all Reno could offer. There was no way of locating Squall unless he wished it. Like Reno and Kail, Squall liked to do his own thing rather than be followed around all day.
Reno's friendship with Squall was like how Zell and Squall were. Reno and Squall hadn't gotten along for a while until a lot later in the whole Crystal Incident five years ago. Now, they were on a more steady footing. Which was a good thing because they were jerks to each other before that.

"he and i are sorta involved." Rinoa said to his comment about Squall. she then turned to him when he started laughing and she then said "the sorceress Edea's power was transferred to me there for making me a sorceress, thank you very much." she glared at him and she then looked out the window.

Reno had turned his head to face the front of the helicopter as a slight smirk went across his face hearing what Rinoa said about her and Squall. So THIS was whom Squall had been fighting for in the first place. Reno distinctly remembered Squall mention he was fighting for someone he really cared about and mentally snickered. Oh, he was going to pick on Squall like something awful for this nice bit of information. Poor Squall if the him and Reno encountered each other again.
His smirk widened a bit more when he heard Rinoa's response to his disbelief. "Sure, whatever you say!" he replied casually. "I hate to break it to ya, but here there's no such thing as Sorceresses...you, having come from a different part of Gaia may be one, but still....people here won't entirely believe you. Just so you know. If anything, Cetra are kind of like what Sorceresses are here but they're all long gone now. The last of them died years ago by the hands of Sephiroth!" he said. The other Turks members nodding at that. They knew of that time. The helicopter went high into the air and started heading back for Shinra HQ. The new Shinra HQ. The one that was built in the city of Edge. Midgar was too much of a ruin to keep it there.

"well as i said i am not from this world, stupid." Rinoa said rolling her eyes. she was getting fed up with this guy and she then asked him "how can i prove it to you?" she then gave him a glare. Rinoa was through fooling aroun. when she looked back out the window she then saw a building. she then asked "so is that the company you work for?" she really didnt want to talk to Reno that much anymore. she couldent see how Squall was friends with this Douche bag.

Reno snickered at Rinoa again. How was it that she wasn't from this world when Squall was exactly from the same planet? "Well...not to be a jerk or anything but you must be from the same PLANET! maybe not from this area, is what you mean." Reno was merely joking anyways. Ray gave Rinoa an offended look when she called his higher up stupid but refrained from saying anything since he knew well enough Reno could handle this on his own terms without Ray's help.
His gaze remained dead ahead as he simply replied "I guess by using magic but then again...we ALL use magic in Gaia. No matter what part we come from. It'd be pretty difficult for you to prove you're one....however, I believe ya. I was only joking around earlier." It was true, Reno was known to joke around.
Looking out the window at the Shinra HQ, Reno gave a nod. "Yep, that'd be it!" he replied. "Shinra Inc. HQ 2...the first was trashed during the Meteor Incident involving Sephiroth years ago. The new city Edge is where we built this new one mainly because Midgar's too totaled and now a ghost town because of Meteor."

Rinoa said to him not even looking at him. she then sighed and she looked out the window still. they were getting closer to the building and she then saw a bomb go off inside. she sat there with a weird look. ((the bomb was Nico) she then asked Reno looking back at him and she then asked "what was that?" she then added "well maybe you shouldent really goof around with people like that." Rinoa also had a hard time telling if someone was sarcastic or not.

Reno just sat comfortably as he waited for the helicopter to reach the helipad. An explosion had gone off and he glanced out the window. He sighed in exasperation before replying "That would be one of our Turks members, Nico...she's always accidentally setting off a bomb at some point! Honestly, it's amazing she manages to come out of it unscathed." He shook his head after saying that.
Of course, it was pretty funny when Nico blew a bomb up at times but then again, she was deadly too. Reno often found himself running if she ever were to pull a bomb out without meaning to ignite it but had done so. It was a very lucky thing he was fast too. (XDDD!) He shrugged at what she said about him not goofing around with people like that. "I could try!" was all he said in response before the helicopter landed and the door opened. Allowing them to step out of it. Ray exited first as well as the burly Turks member. Reno soon afterwards as well as the person that had been sitting next to the pilot and the pilot. The helicopter turned off. Reno walked up to the door and it had been opened by the soldiers guarding it. Allowing the Turks in as well as Rinoa after Reno gave a slight explanation. They were in the president's office.

Rinoa followed Reno into the presidents office. she really didnt say anything. she waited for Reno to say something to her first. She really didnt have anything to say to Rufus. she then sighed as Reno still did all the talking.

Unlike Rude, Reno was the talkative one. Known to gossip with Rude despite the fact he was doing most of the talking the entire time. That was indeed a question worth looking into. Even the other Turks members didn't know how the girl managed it. Nico was a walking danger at times. One never knew when a bomb was going to be accidentally blown up in their midst with her around.
"Nope....she always comes out just fine....how she does it is an entirely different matter!" he answered. Walking past the desk that was unoccupied due to the fact the President was off somewhere else today. Reno gave Ray a nod before saying "You can head off now...give them your full report! I'll sign your report later to show that I've overseen your first hands on experience!" Ray nodded and took off.
Bringing his attention back towards Rinoa, he asked her "Not to be nosy or anything but why did you want to come along with us to this place? Is there a certain issue you need help with?"

Rinoa looked at Reno. she then shook her head and then said "only the fact that i dont know my way around this place." Rinoa then added "no issue though." she then sighed and she then asked him "so what do you guys do here anyway? are you like secret agents?" rinoa was curious on that one. she then looked at him who was now standing at the open desk.

Reno gave an understanding nod at that. "This place is huge....I sometimes found myself lost in here until I finally got used to where everything was around here!" He was starting to head for the stairway already since there was no elevator right here. He considered the idea of telling Rinoa. What Reno and the rest of the Turks here were wasn't at all good nor exactly entirely evil.
Most of the jobs they did weren't nice either. "If you must know...we're more like a mixture of everything starting from being mere bodyguards for the president to being assassins to something like that of secret agents if there's a need to collect valuable information. Mainly, we're used to uphold the peace but our other jobs range from assassination and so on." He paused as he thought about it. The Turks were all given numerous jobs. There wasn't anything too distinctive about them. They were also mainly seen as Rufus Shinra's bodyguards too. Still, the other jobs was what made them frightening to most of the locals here.
"I know it may not sound like a very nice job but I am proud of the work I do. It takes a lot to become a Turks member...not all of us are intentionally bad either...we're just basically doing our job. You might understand what I'm talking about in a way."

Rinoa listened. she then faced him and she nodded. she very well understood. If you were given a command to do something and it was part of your job and you have to do it, then why not? Rinoa then replied to him "no, i very well understand. If your job is very important then do it." she then smiled as she followed him.

Reno shrugged at her response. A pity she didn't exactly understand that if he were given orders to kill someone he'd do it. No matter, he descended down the stairs and entered the hallway between two service desks. Most filled with secretaries and what not. They respectfully inclined their heads when Reno passed by them. Heading into another doorway. Where Reno was headed was mainly to check on the extent of the damage caused by that explosion from one of Nico's bombs and to grab a bite for himself to eat. He hadn't eaten since breakfast and it was practically dinner time.
He mentally cursed one of the new recruits for having taken up most of his lunch time. "Just so you know...I'm currently going to check up on the area where that explosive went off just to make sure nothing too serious happened there."

"DA** IT." Nico screamed running out as she then looked at where the bomb blew up. she then sighed as she then saw Reno walking this way. she then decided to walk back into the smokey room and she then looked around. everything was all blown upy.

Reno saw Nico rush out and enter the smoky room. It must be one of her bombs being set off again without her being in the room to begin with. He gave a shrug to Rinoa as the smoke billowed out from the room where Nico entered. He pushed the door open and stepped in.
Taking in the details of the damage, Reno whistled. "Talk about your fixer upper!" he exclaimed as he looked all around. That bomb set off did a lot of damage alright. It was a lucky thing no one was in the room to begin with. He was almost certain a casualty would've been a result if anyone were to have been in here. "Lucky thing no one was hurt!" he said trailing off. Glancing back over at Nico, he questioned "Let me guess...the person that has been messing with your bombs got a hold of that one too?"

"and why do you care?" Nico asked him still a little angry. he seemed in a better mood and she was happy about that but still angry. she then sighed as she then said "i am not cleaning this up and yes. I wasnt even working on a bomb, i was building this." she then pulled out what seemed to be a pen. she then put it back in the nice case and she looked at the other girl and said "hey...i know you!"
Rinoa glanced at her and she then said "yeah, i think we ran into eachother." Rinoa then smiled and she glanced over at Reno. she then asked "what has been going on?"

Reno ignored her snappy reply as he walked further into the room and then went over to where the windows once had been. That had been one good blast. Luckily it wasn't big enough to go into more than one room. He peered downwards out onto the ground far below. A tiny rectangular spec on the far ground was someone's file cabinet. Little white dots were flowing around it. Files were scattered on that street, no doubt.
He glanced back over at Nico when he heard what else she was saying. "Pfft! A Turk doesn't ever have to clean up this! That's what the janitors are here for." He raised an eyebrow as she mentioned that she had been working on a pen. "I believe ya, no reason to explain...besides I saw you came out of the other room and not this one so it couldn't have been you." Rinoa and Nico seemed to know each other. The red headed Turk just popped open his cell phone and dialed the number for the janitors. "Hey, Reno here! We need clean up on room 234! Also, this room will have to be renovated. Over!" with that, he closed the cell phone hanging it up and brought his attention back towards Rinoa when she spoke.
"Well...Nico's been having trouble with someone screwing around with her explosives...we still haven't figured out who could've done this." He looked over to Nico after finishing that. Letting her further explain anything she wanted to since she was the one having these problems.

Nico then said as she then handed Reno a slip of paper with the file number. she then turned and faced Rinoa again and she then whispered in her ear "he's an a**......dont listen to him." she then walked over back to her desk and she then said "if one bomb went off then all the rest of them did."
Rinoa listened to what Nico said. she then smiled and stood there. she then said to her "seems like it."

Reno examined the file Nico had given him. He heard what Nico whispered to Rinoa. Still looking through it, he replied aloud "I HEARD that!" He then turned over a paper, before saying "Well, looks like we're going to have a lot of rooms renovated then as well as cleaned up." Closing the file, he thought about why someone would want to sabotage them all in the first place.
He hadn't a bite to eat since Breakfast so hence the grumpy attitude he had. "Eventually, we'll find this culprit...it's only a matter of time." Walking past them, he said "If you ladies don't mind...I'm heading for the cafeteria!" he said coolly. With that, he left the room and started heading for the nearby elevator. Whether they chose to follow him or not was up to them. All Reno was concerned with at the moment was grabbing a bite to eat.

Rinoa then said "wait!" she then asked Nico "are you coming?" and Nico shook her head. Nico then said "i will meet you down there." Rinoa nodded. she then ran to catch up with Reno. when she finally caught up, she then asked "so whats the deal between you two? when i talked to her, she said that she likes you a lot and now you two seem mad at eachother."

Reno had gotten to where the elevator was located and had been pressing the button to summon it when Rinoa came out of the room he had just left. He hadn't intended on anyone coming along but didn't care if they did. Reno was hungry and needed something to eat before he got too aggressive.
After pressing the button for the elevator, he leaned against the wall opposite of it and waited. He gave Rinoa a flat look upon hearing what she had mentioned what Nico had told her. "She's a real pain! Always annoying the hell out of me and I'd much rather not speak to her anyways so let her be mad." That was a rather nasty reply. He, of course, hadn't snapped at Rinoa but his tone was a tad stern.
Reno didn't like Nico much due to the fact the girl was always bugging him when she was around or insulting him. The more time he spent away from her the better. All Nico reminded him of was Elena whom was known for bitching at Reno every chance she got. What he had said in response to what Rinoa had said was simple to understand. He didn't like Nico very much. The elevator opened up and a small bell dinged. Reno entered the elevator and step aside so Rinoa could go in.
He swiped a card into the slot before them and pushed the floor's button for the cafeteria. The elevator went down. Reno didn't say anything as he patiently waited for the elevator to come to a complete stop. The elevator came to a dead halt and opened up. Revealing a huge cafeteria. People, mostly regular Shinra employees, were sitting in rows of seats. Scattered about the place. When Reno stepped out, most of the employees either stopped talking due to his arrival or simply gave small waves before returning to their meals or conversations. He walked all the way up to the counter to order his meal. Looking over at Rinoa, he said "You first!" He still knew his manners despite what Nico called him and her agreeing with Nico.
